Arklow, Co. Wicklow. At 7.15 on the evening of the 12th of January, 1961, flares were seen north-north-east of Arklow. There was a moderate south- south-westerly wind with a correspond- ing sea, and the tide was ebbing. At 7.30 the life-boat Inbhear Mor was launched. She found the fishing vessel St. Main of Arklow drifting with her propeller fouled by nets. She towed the St. Main into Arklow, returning to her station at 9.40..
