Scarborough, Yorkshire. On the morning of the 10th of November, 1960, a south-easterly gale was blowing and the sea was rough. There was heavy rain. The local fishing boat Marion wasat sea, and conditions at the harbour entrance were very bad. At 10.45 the life-boat /. G. Graves of Sheffield was launched two and a half hours after high water.
