Dover, Kent. At 5.25 on the evening of the 13th of November, 1960, the coastguard informed the honorary sec- retary that a local fishing boat was mis- sing off Folkestone. When the life-boat Southern Africa put out at 6.3 it was low water. There was a strong south- westerly wind and a rough sea. The weather was overcast. The life-boat found the fishing boat F.E. 88 with seventeen people on board at 6.50 two miles west of Dover. After towing the boat to Dover she arrived back at her station at 8.7..
