Little Old Lady

Hastings, Sussex. At 5.52 on the evening of the 11th of September, 1960, the coastguard told the coxswain that a fishing boat, Little Old Lady, was broken down off the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill. The life-boat M.T.C. was launched at 6.4 in a slight south- easterly breeze with a smooth sea and anebb-tide. The life-boat towed the fishing boat to Hastings, where arrangements were made for a local boat to tow her on to Rye. The life-boat returned to her station at 9.5.
