Faithful and Twilight Star
North Sunderland, Northumberland.
Around noon on the 12th of May, 1960, considerable anxiety was felt for two local fishing vessels which were overdue. At 12.30 the life-boat Grace Darling was launched two hours after low water in an easterly gale and a very rough sea. She found the fishing vessels Faithful and Twilight Star sheltering in the lee of the Inner Fame and escorted them into harbour. The life-boat reached her station at two o'clock. Rewards to the crew, £7 4s, ; rewards to the helpers on shore, £6 14s..
