Whitby, Yorkshire. On the morning of the 16th of February, 1960, one of three local fishing boats which were at sea, the Provider A., wirelessed that she expected to be off the harbour about 2.15 in the afternoon. As the weather was becoming worse the life-boat Mary Ann Hep worth was launched at 2.20 to stand by while the boats returned to harbour.
