Dresden, on temporary duty at the station, left her moorings in a moderate south-south-easterly wind. There was a slight sea, and it was high water.
The life-boat found the fishing boat Two Sisters, of Maryport, with a crew of four, half a mile north of Maryport.
The fishing boat had engine trouble and was taken in tow to Maryport.
The life-boat then returned to her station, arriving at 5.15. Rewards to the crew, £10 10s..
