Felmer

Ramsgate, Kent. At 6.38 on the evening of the 10th of October, 1959, the east pier watchman told the cox- swain that red flares had been seen off Ramsgate harbour. At 6.48 the life- boat Michael and Lily Davis left her moorings in a moderate sea. There was a light southerly breeze and it was one hour after high water. The weather was overcast with rain showers. The life- boat found the yacht Felmer, which had a crew of three, with her engine broken down and took her in tow to Ramsgate harbour. The life-boat reached her moorings at 7.35. Property salvage case.
