Shoreham Harbour, Sussex. At 1.30 on the afternoon of the 17th of Septem- ber, 1959, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a cabin cruiser had broken down two and a half miles south-south-west of Shoreham Harbour.
The life-boat Rosa Woodd and Phyllis Lunn was launched fifteen minutes laterin a moderate sea. There was a gentle north-easterly wind, and it was one hour after high water. The life-boat found the cabin cruiser Venture of Shoreham with two men and a boy on board. She took her in tow to Shore- ham and reached her station at 3.10.
