Great Yarmouth and Gorleston, Nor- folk. At 3.52 on the morning of the 26th of September, 1959, the coast- guard informed the honorary secretary of a police report that two men, who were believed to have taken the fishing boat Sandra without the owner's per- mission, were in difficulties up river in Breydon Waters. The life-boat Louise Stephens was launched at 4.8 in a smooth sea. There was a light south- westerly breeze and it was high water.

An inspector of police and a police constable went afloat in the life-boat, which found the boat aground. The boat was taken in tow to Great Yar- mouth. The life-boat reached her station at 5.44. Rewards to the crew, £11 5s. ; rewards to the helpers on shore, £4 5s..
