A Boat

Fishguard, Pembrokeshire. At 10.5 on the night of the 4th of July, 1959, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a small boat with three people on board was drifting off Pen Anglas. The life-boat Howard Marryat was launched at 10.20 in a moderate sea, with a moderate south-westerly wind blowing and an ebb tide. She found a small fishing boat one mile south-south-east of Strumble Head ashore on the rocks. The boat was only slightly damaged and after her crew had been taken aboard the life- boat she was towed to Fishguard. The life-boat reached her station at 32.20.
