Minorea

Dover, Kent. At 6.11 on the morn- ing of the 30th of January, 1959, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a coaster was aground in St. Margaret's Bay. The honorary secretary asked for further information, and at seven o'clock the life-boat Southern Africa put out. There was amoderate sea, with a gentle northerly wind, dense fog and an ebb tide. The life-boat found the coaster Minorea of Groningen high and dry and stood by until she refloated. She then returned to her station, arriving at 2.8. Re- wards to the crew, £18..
