Llandudno, Caernarvonshire. At 12.30 on the afternoon of the 26th of July, 1958, the honorary secretary was told that a small boat appeared to be in difficulties one mile north of LittleOrme's Head. At 1.25 the life-boat Tillie Morrison, Sheffield was launched in a choppy sea. There was a strong westerly wind and an ebb tide. The life-boat found the sailing yacht Thebe with a crew of two. She had lost her rudder and had water in her engine, and she was in imminent danger of going aground on Rhos Point. The life-boat took the Thebe in tow and reached her station at 3.15.
