Fleetwood, Lancashire. At 1.45 early on the morning of the 4th of September, 1958, the coastguard told the honorary secretary that two red flares had been seen three miles east- north-east of Morecambe Bay light- vessel. At 2.10 the life-boat Ann Letitia Russell was launched in a moderate sea, with a moderate easterly wind blowing and a flood tide. She found the fishing vessel Pamela of Fleetwood in tow of the fishing vessel Zyaba. The Pamela had a crew of two, and her engine had broken down.
