Mollihawke IV

Blyth, Northumberland. At 8.40 on the evening of the 30th of September, 1958, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a yacht was dragging her anchor one mile south of the Sow and Pig buoy. At 8.54 the life-boat City of Bradford II, on tempor- ary duty at the station, was launched in a heavy swell. There was a strong south-easterly wind and an ebb tide.

The life-boat found the yacht Molli- hawke IV of London, with a crew of two, and escorted her to harbour, arriving at 10.54. The owner expressed his thanks. Rewards to the crew, £9 12s. ; rewards to the helpers on shore, £2 8s..
