Fleurita

Holyhead, Anglesey. At 12.43 on the afternoon of the 28th of September, 1958, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that the motor vessel Fleurita of Chester had engine trouble and was drifting off Rocky Coast. At 12.52 the life-boat St. Cybi (Civil Service No. 9) was launched in a choppy sea. There was a strong south- south-easterly wind and an ebb tide.

After searching the life-boat found the Fleurita, which had a crew of six, under way and escorted her to harbour.

Rewards to the crew, £7 ; rewards to the helpers on shore, £3 12s..
