Ramsgate, Kent. At 12.50 on the afternoon of the 27th of September, 1958, the watchman at the east pier informed the honorary secretary that a motor boat had broken down a mile and a half off Ramsgate. At 1.4 the life-boat Michael and Lily Davis put out in a slight sea, with a moderate south- easterly wind blowing and an ebb tide.

She found the motor boat Belinda with three men on board and took her in tow to Ramsgate harbour, arriving at 1.36. Rewards to the crew, £7 ; rewards to the helpers on shore, 10s..
