Ramsey, Isle of Man. At 10.20 on the night of the 10th of May, 1958, the coastguard informed the honorary sec- retary that red flares had been seen off Manghold Head. At 10.45 the life- boat Thomas Corbett was launched in a moderate sea. There was a moderate north-easterly wind and the tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the motor fishing vessel Sea Lion with a crew of two. Her engine had broken down and the life-boat took her in tow to Douglas as conditions were bad in Ramsey Bay.

The life-boat returned to Ramsey harbour at five o'clock on the morning of the llth of May, where she wasberthed until she could be rehoused at three o'clock in the afternoon. Re- wards to the crew, £15. 15s. ; rewards to the helpers on shore, £16. 13s..
