Primula

Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. At 2.55 on the afternoon of the 16th of June, 1958, the coastguard told the honorary secretary that the motor fishing vessel Primula of Peterhead was ashore in Burnhaven Bay. At 3.15 the life-boat Julia Park Barry of Glasgow was launched in a slight swell. There was dense fog, light airs and an ebb tide.

The life-boat found the Primula, took her crew of four on board, and reached her station at 4.45. The fishing vessel refloated on the following tide. Re- wards to the crew, £7. 4s. ; rewards to the helpers on shore, £2. 8s..
