Whitby, Yorkshire. On the morning of the 7th of March, 1958, the local motor fishing vessel Success was at the fishing grounds. During the day the weather became very bad, and at 2.25 in the afternoon the life-boat Mary Ann Hepworth was launched. There was a rough sea, with a moderate gale blowing and a flooding tide.
