Great Yarmouth and Gorleston, Norfolk.—At 7.25 on the morning of the 4th of November, 1957, Humber radio reported that the Polish trawler Jas- kolka was in trouble 18 miles north- east of Smith's Knoll. Her engine room was flooded and her steering faulty. The life-boat Louise Stephens was launched at 7.45 in a very rough sea with a strong south-westerly gale blowing. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the trawler with 20 men on board, some of whom were cadets.
