Ramsgate, Kent.—At 1.24 on the after- noon of the 29th of September, 1957, the east pier watchman reported that a yacht was aground on Brake Sands and was signalling for help. At 1.35 the life-boat Michael and Lily Davis put out in a slight sea. There was a moderate north-westerly breeze and the tide was flooding. Ten minutes later the life-boat was alongside the yacht Westward, which had a crew of three. She was not aground but hadengine trouble, and the life-boat took her in tow to Ramsgate harbour, which was reached at 2.30.—Rewards to the crew, etc., £6 10s..
