Eastbourne, Sussex.—At 3.10 on the afternoon of the 9th of September, 1957, the coxswain of the life-boat saw a dismasted yacht capsize about half a mile off shore. The life-boat Beryl Tollemache was launched at 3.15 in a rough sea. There was a strong south- westerly breeze and the tide was ebb- ing. The life-boat picked up one man from the sea and then took the other two members of the crew off the yacht, which was the Green Drake.
