Longest Winter Service

THE annual award of a case of rum to the life-boat crew which has carried out the longest winter service has been made by the Sugar Manufacturers' Association (of Jamaica) Limited to the crew of the Islay, Hebrides, lifeboat, for a service of twenty-six hours on the 26th'27th of January, 1957.
