Godrevy

St. Peter Port, Guernsey.—At 7.19 on the evening of the 1st of October, 1956, a telephone message was received that a fishing boat had been seen burning flares west of Point Le Moye. At 7.37 the life-boat Euphrosyne Kendal put out. There was a moderate sea, a moderate south-westerly breeze was blowing, and the tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the fishing boat God- revy with a crew of two drifting rapidly ashore. The fishing boat's crew were taken aboard the life-boat and given hot soup. The fishing boat was then towed to St. Peter Port, arriving at 10.40.—Rewards to the crew, £12 5s.; reward to the helper on shore, 15s..
