Twin Brothers

Dunbar, East Lothian.—About three o'clock on the afternoon of the 13th of August, 1956, a message was re- ceived that a fishing vessel, Twin Brothers, with a crew of three, was overdue. The life-boat George and Sarah Strachan put out at 3.15. There was a rough sea, with a moderate westerly gale blowing, a flood tide and very bad visibility. The life-boat found the vessel south-west of Dunbar very close to the shore. She had had engine trouble but had rectified it.

The life-boat escorted the vessel back to harbour and arrived back at her station at 4.30.—Rewards to the crew, £7..
