Sunny Seas
Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.—At 8.8. on the evening of the 27th of July, 1956, the coastguard reported that the motor launch Sunny Seas needed help one mile west of Bench Head buoy. The life-boat Sir Godfrey Baring was launched at 8.16. The sea was slight, there was a light easterly breeze, and the tide was ebbing. The Sunny Seas,with a crew of three, was found to have engine trouble. The life-boat towed her to Brightlingsea and arrived back at her station at 6.30 early on the 28th of July.—Property Salvage Case..
