Orca

Fowey, Cornwall.—At 4.30 on the morning of the 28th of September.

1956, the Polruan coastguard tele- phoned that a red flare had been seen half a mile west of Polperro. At 4.50 the life-boat Deneys lieitz put out.

There was a moderate sea and a strong west-south-westerly breeze. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the yacht Orca, of Scheveningen, close to the rocks with her crew of three ex- hausted. They were taken on board the life-boat and brought to Fowey.

The life-boat then returned to the position and took the yacht in tow, arriving back at her station at 10.15.— Property Salvage Case..
