PwllheU, Caernarvonshire.—At 6.50 on the evening of the 8th of August, 1956, it was reported that a yacht wasfour hours overdue after a race from Abersoch round the St. Patrick's causeway buoy. The life-boat Kather- ine and Virgoe Buckland was launched at 7.40. The sea was calm, with light airs, and there was a flood tide. A search was carried out over a wide area without success, and the life-boat then returned to refuel. She renewed the search at daybreak and finally came up with the yacht Moonflower, with a crew of two, north-west of the causeway. She escorted her to Aber- soch and then returned to her station, arriving at 8.30 on the morning of the 9th.—Rewards to the crew, £20 13s.; rewards to the helpers on shore, £13 19s..
