Holyhead, Anglesey.—At 5.3 on the afternoon of the 5th of August, 1956, the coastguard rang up to say that a small boat was in difficulties off Pen- ryn Point South Stack. The life-boat St. Cybi (Civil Service No. 9) was launched at 5.12. There was a rough swell and a light north-north-easterly breeze. It was low water. The life- boat came up with the dinghy Janet, took off her crew of two and landed them at Treardden Bay.
