Boulmer, Northumberland.—At 2.35 on the morning of the 24th of August, 1956, the coastguard reported that a vessel was ashore one mile east-south- east of Boulmer Haven. The life-boat Clarissa Langdon was launched at 2.55. There was a slight swell and light south-south-west airs. The tide was flooding. The life-boat reached the Polish fishing vessel Gdynia, but found that she had refloated with the rising tide. After standing by, the life-boat returned to her station, arriving at 3.55.
