A Former Ship's Boat
Montrose, Angus.—At 7.45 on the evening of the 15th of August, 1956, the coastguard rang up to say that a small boat which they had had under observation appeared to be in diffi- culties. The life-boat The Good Hope was launched at 7.55. There was a smooth sea, a light easterly breeza was blowing, and the tide was ebbing.
One mile south-east of Scurdyness the life-boat came up with a former ship's boat from Rosyth with five naval ratings on board who were on a holiday cruise.
