Patrona

Ramsgate, Kent.—At 7.16 on the even- ing of the 23rd of June, 1956, the life- boat coxswain received a message that the yacht Patrona, with a crew of two, was aground on Brake Sands. At 7.20 the life-boat Michael and Lily Davis put out in a slight sea. There was a slight north-north-westerly breeze, and the tide was flooding. The life-boat towed the yacht off the sands and returned with her to Ramsgate harbour, arriving back at 9.22.— Rewards to the crew, £9 12.s.; reward to the helper on shore, etc., 13s. 6d..
