Humber, Yorkshire.—At 10.14 on the night of the 31st of May, 1956, the Spurn Point coastguard reported thatthe Norwegian trawler Havkvern had sent a message that she would be off Spurn lightvessel about three o'clock the next morning and that she wanted to land an injured man. The life-boat City of Bradford III was launched at two o'clock in a calm sea, with a gentle westerly breeze blowing and an ebbing tide.
