Scarborough, Yorkshire.—At 1.5 on the afternoon of the 17th of April, 1956, it was reported by the coxswain that he had heard the local fishing boat Courage calling for help on her wire-less. Ten minutes later the life-boat E.C.J.It, was launched in a smooth sea with a gentle breeze blowing. She came up with the (.'ourage. which had a crew of three, off Long Nab. The fishing boat was making a lot of water, but constant pumping enabled her to keep afloat.
