Harvester

Wells, Norfolk.—At 3.30 on the after- noon of the 22nd of March, 1956, the life-boat second coxswain received a report that the local motor fishing boat Harvester was overdue with a crew of two. At four o'clock the life- boat Cecil Paine was launched with the second coxswain in charge. The sea was rough, a strong wind was blowing from south-by-east, and the tide was ebbing. The life-boat made a search and found the Harvester two miles north-west of the harbour. Her engine had broken down, and the life-boat towed her to Wells, which was reached at 5.15.—Rewards to the crew, £8 2,9.; rewards to the helpers on shore, £9 195..
