St. Peter Port, Guernsey.—At 3.30 on the afternoon of the 17th of April, 1955, the St. John Ambulance Brigade asked if the life-boat would fetch a sick man from Sark. As the local marine ambulance was out of commis- sion and no other suitable boat was available, the life-boat Euphrosyne Kendal put out at 3.50. The sea was rough, a fresh east-north-east breeze was blowing, and the tide was ebbing.
The life-boat reached Sark about five o'clock, embarked the patient and took him to St. Peter Port, arriving at 6.10.—Rewards to the crew, £6 13,9..
