Provider A

Whitby, Yorkshire.—On the morning of the 16th of January, 1955, the weather deteriorated, and about 9.20 the coastguard told the coxswain of the No. 1 life-boat that the local fishing boat Provider A. was still at sea. She was making for the harbour, and at 9.45, at high water, the No. 1 life-boat Mary Ann Hepworth was launched in a moderate sea, with a north-north-east gale blowing. She escorted the Provider A. to the harbour and reached her station again at 10.35.—Rewards, £9 2s. Qd..
