Martha
Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.—At 10.15 on the night of the 29th of July, 1954, a message was received that a man had returned to the harbour in a sailing boat with the news that a motor boat had broken down two miles east of East Pier. At 10.55 the life-boat Dunleary II put out in a smooth sea.
There was a light westerly breeze and a flood tide. The life-boat found the motor boat Martha, of Dublin, with a crew of three, and towed her to Dun Laoghaire, arriving at 11.35. The owner made a gift to the life-boatmen.
