Fowey, Cornwall.—At 4.45 on the after- noon of the 18th of August, 1954, the Polruan coastguard telephoned that two boys were in difficulties in a rowing boat three miles south of Fowey. At 5.28 the life-boat C.D.E.C. put'out in a flood tide. The sea was calm and a light breeze was blowing from the north-west. The life-boat rescued the boys, took their boat in tow and reach- ed her station again at 6.10. A dona- tion to the funds of the Institution was received.—Rewards, £5 5s..
