Island Rover
Valenria, Go. Kerry.--At 8.40 on the morning of the 29th of April, 1954, a message was received from Portmagee that the fishing boat Island Rover, of Tralee, was overdue with a crew of four. At nine o'clock the life-boat A.E.D. put out. The sea was calm, and a light breeze was blowing from the north-east. The life-boat found the fishing boat one mile north of Lemon Rock with her engine broken down. She towed her to Portmagee, reaching her station again at 2.15.— Rewards, £8 165..
