Victory and Sarah Ann

Holy Island, Northumberland.—About eight o'clock on the morning of the 21st of January, 1954, the life-boat coxswain reported that there was a heavy swell on the harbour bar, and that he felt anxious for the safety of two fishing boats. He kept watch, and at 10.7 the life-boat Gertrude was launched in a moderate sea, with a light southerly breeze blowing. She escorted in the fishing boats Victory and Sarah Ann and reached her station again at 11.35.—Rewards, £9.
