Notre Dame de la Mer
On the morning of the 19th of December, 1953, the Margate life-boat North Foreland. Civil Service No XI was launched in a rough sea to go to the help of the French trawler Notre Dame de la Mer. off Boulogne, which was being driven inshore and was pounding heavily. The life-boat suc- ceeded in towing the trawler clear.
