Rongorge

Beaumaris, Anglesey.—At 8.30 on the evening of the 20th of July, 1953, it was reported that the yacht Rongorge, which had anchored off Gallows Point with a crew of four, was dragging, and at 8.45 the life-boat Field Marshal and Mrs. Smuts was launched. There was a rough sea with a fresh south-westerly breeze blowing. The four people on board were seasick and short of food.

The life-boat towed the Rongorge to Menai Bridge and arrived back at her station at 9.30.—Rewards, £7 5s..
