Dunbar, East Lothian. — At eight o'clock on the evening of the 18th of July, 1953, the coastguard rang up the coxswain to say that the police had reported that three people and a dog were cut off by the tide half a mile west of Dunbar. At 8.15 the life-boat George and Sarah Strachan put outin a choppy sea with a light westerly breeze. She took a small boat with her and found two men, a boy and a dog on a rock. The small boat trans- ferred them to the life-boat, which took them to the harbour, arriving at nine o'clock.—Rewards, £5 5s..
