Greylass

Hoylake, Cheshire.—At two o'clock on the afternoon of the 7th of December, 1952, the life-boat coxswain asked local people to keep a look-out for the fishing vessel Greylass, of Hoylake, which was overdue with a crew of three. Nothing was heard of her that afternoon or evening, and the families of the missing men were anxious. At 9.45 in the evening the life-boat Oldham IV was launched in a calm sea with a light south-easterly breeze blowing. She found the Greylass near the North Bank Buoy. Her engine had broken down, and the life-boat towed her to Hoylake, reaching her station again at 2.30 in the morning.— Rewards, £18 4s..
