Zippalong

Cromer, Norfolk.—At 10.25 on the morning of the 1st of August, 1952, the coastguard telephoned that the S.S. Holdernidd had wirelessed that she was towing the motor yacht Zippalong, of Boston, and was making for Cromer. She asked if the life-boat would take over the tow, and at 10.35 the No. 1 life-boat Henry Blogg was launched. There was a slight swell with a light south-south-west breeze blowing, and she came up with thevessels three miles north of Cromer.

She towed the Zippalong, which had a crew of two, to Wells and reached her station again at 5.30 that evening.
