The S.S. Kylemore
Holyhead, Anglesey.—At 10.20 on the morning of the 14th of September, 1952, the coastguard reported that the S.S. Kylemore, of Limerick, which was one and a half miles off Holyhead, had a sick man on board and had asked for a doctor. At 10.53 the life-boat St.
Cybi, Civil Service No. 9, embarked a doctor and was launched in a smooth sea with a light north-easterly breeze blowing. She came up with the steamer in Holyhead Bay and put the doctor on board. He decided to land the man, who was suspected of having appendicitis. The life-boat took him ashore, where an ambulance was wait- ing, and reached her station again at 11.20.—Rewards, £7 10s..
