Excelsior
Bridlington, Yorkshire.— On the morning of the 9th of August, 1952, several small motor fishing vessels were at sea, and as the weather was quickly deteriorating the life-boat crew assembled. A strong south- easterly breeze was blowing, with a moderate sea, when the life-boat Tillie Morrison, Sheffield, was launched at 1.50 in the afternoon. It was then about low water. The life-boat pro- ceeded south and met the motor fishing vessel Excelsior which had a crew of five aboard, and escorted her to Bridlington. They could not enter the harbour for some time, but got safely in at 4.30.—Rewards, £12 14s..
