Progressive

Scarborough, Yorkshire.—At one in the afternoon of the 7th of March, 1952, the coastguard reported that the fishing boat Progressive, of Filey, had been at sea since dawn and anxiety was felt for the safety of her crew of six. The seas were heavy and a strong easterly breeze was blowing.

At 1.10 the life-boat E.C.J.R. was launched, found the Progressive one and a half miles out, escorted her into Scarborough harbour and reached her station again at 2.15. — Rewards, £12 10*..
